Initial design research involved discussion with several drivers regarding thoughts/concerns about dashboard user interface.
The history of the dual kidney-shaped BWM grill informed the design of the dashboard shape.
Based on my user experience interviews, the primary goal of this design exercise was to find a way to incorporate navigation into the digital dashboard interface. Additionally, mechanical gauges were redesigned for an all-digital interface, and eco-monitoring gauges were adapted to improve visualization of fuel economy.
